Best Contraction
Tracker Apps in
2024
1 – Cubtale Baby Tracker
Cubtale is our favorite because the app not only helps you track all the critical things you need to track during pregnancy like Weight, Baby Kicks, Contractions, Vitamins and Development, but also gives you the weekly updates you need AND lets you stay in the same app even after the baby is born.
Our favorite part: The UI. It is super user-friendly. Fantastic colors, simple data logging, no annoying ads and it is FREE.
The app is rated 4.9 by 5K parents. It’s also a winner of Mom’s Choice Award as well as #1 Coolest Parenting Tech by USA Today
2 – 9m Contraction Timer & Counter
This straightforward, user-friendly app tracks contractions and effectively alerts you when it’s time to go to the hospital. Upon opening the app, you have the option to purchase an ad-free experience for $2.99. We chose not to make that purchase and used the free version.
The 9m Contraction Timer & Counter is simple to use, prompting you to tap when a contraction begins and ends. The app keeps a record of the number of contractions you’ve had in the past hour. While testing the app by starting and stopping contractions rapidly, it alerted us that the contractions did not match the pattern of active labor and advised us to contact our physician. Following this alert, an ad appeared on the screen, which could be frustrating if you were trying to measure real contractions. In such a situation, the $2.99 ad-free version might be worth it.
The app claims to be the number one contraction timer in the world. It is the most downloaded contraction timer in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada, according to the app. It’s available for both Android and Apple devices and has an average rating of 4.8 stars.
3 – Contraction Timer-Time Labor
Contraction Timer-Time Labor promotes itself as a “pediatrician-approved timer.” When you open the app, you can start timing a contraction right away and select the intensity of your contractions. The timer tracks the time between contractions with a ticker under the word “Start,” which you tap to begin timing the next contraction.
The app also allows you to keep notes about your contractions, including their intensity and any other sensations, but it does not advise when to go to the hospital. It functions solely as a timer. Available for Apple devices, the app has an average rating of 4.6 stars.
